7 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT BIKING IN VANCOUVER

1) Stanley Park is just 1 direction!

Direction: You must bike the park counterclockwise as it is just one direction.

Distance: Stanley Park is 8.8 Km, 5.4 miles and it is mostly flat.

Time: It takes roughly 2hours to ride around if you take it chill.

AAA bike network: Stanley park seawall is an “All Ages and Abilities” bike path.

2) Wearing a Helmet is by law in BC.

3)  Avoid sidewalks and go the same direction than the cars

4) Hop on the public transport.

You can board the bus, sea-bus and sky-train with your bike. If you want to go to Granville Island the Aquabus ferry also takes bikes and charges around $4 CA for one way ride.

5) Be careful with thieves.

Locking your bike will help keep your bike safe. It is important to have a good lock and to always lock the frame of the bike.

6) Pass other bikes on your left and let them know you are coming
